iEARN-Qatar Workshops for Teachers
 
The Connect ROTAsia program at ROTA is offering two professional development workshops for teachers during October2009:
 
Workshop A: Introduction to iEARN projects: Saturday,the 17th of October, 2009
The aim of this workshop is to enable experienced teachers to integrate iEARN projects in their curriculum and collaborate online with members of the iEARN.org web platform. * iEARN stands for the International Education and Resource Network, which is a non-profit organization made up of 30’000 schools in more than 130 countries.
 
Workshop B: iEARN-Qatar and the ROTA Knowledge Network: Thursday, the 22nd of October & Saturday, the 24th of October,2009 
The aim of this workshop is to develop the teachers’ knowledge about Project Based Learning (PBL) and project planning as well as to prepare them to apply this knowledge by implementing a project with their students. Day 1 of this workshop will cover PBL, project planning and integration; day 2 will be a hands-on computer training on the online web platforms: www.iearn.org & www.rotaknowledgenet.org .
 
Workshop B will also allow candidates to become members of the ROTA Knowledge Network and benefit from the online support of the iEARN-Qatar community and facilitators during the project implementation period.

Teachers can either register for Workshop A only or for Workshops A & B.It is mandatory to attend Workshop A in order to proceed to Workshop B.
